Theatre has immense potential as a medium of expression and our students from various FSH receive periodic exposure to performance art.
Our FSH at Uchimedu, Tamil Nadu, was host to a unique theatre experiment. Intergenerational Theatre, led by Mr. Mathew Gusul from the University of Victoria in Canada brought together 80 people in Tamil Nadu. The Elders of the village and young children were encouraged to perform their own stories, develop strong community relations and create new lines of dialogue across generations.
Theatre for Development was introduced at the Kadalur School in order to help children “perform” their lessons for an immersive learning experience. The initiative was led by Dr. N.S. Yamuna, noted theatre personality. Theatre is also part of Project Akash, which aims to help children express themselves creatively.
