NISHANT

Nishant hails from a family that has had to suffer several traumas in the past. His father had abandoned the family that included a younger brother and a mother. It soon became the responsibility of the mother to become the breadwinner of the family.

Nishant was soon sent to Seva Niketan to continue his studies. He was in Class VI then, and a below average student who was not focused on his studies. While he was well-behaved and disciplined, his exam results was not encouraging, to say the least. He had failed in his mid-term exam and barely scraped through in his final exams. Not surprising, considering the problems he had to live with, back home.

However, the calming atmosphere and the guidance given at Seva Niketan brought about a change in Nishant. His marks began to rise and his overall academic performance soon flowered. He had begun to work hard, studying late into the night. Sincere efforts rarely let one down and Nishant soon towered with his performance in the X Board Exam when he secured the 91st rank in the entire state of Himachal Pradesh.

His performance was rewarded with a unique flying experience, as AIM for Seva ensures that anyone who is amongst the top hundred ranks in the stage gets an opportunity to fly.

Nishant is the classic example of children who become a victim of their circumstances, but when given an opportunity, rise to the occasion.

ANANTHU.C - AN ALL ROUNDER

Ananthu.C is part of the Janaka Janani Kripa Aim for Seva chatralaya in Trivandrum, Kerala. He is studying in class VII. He is very good in his studies and usually gets more that 90% in all subjects. Although he comes from an extremely poor family he is honest and helpful. We at the chatralaya discovered that this young boy has a lot of inherent talent such as writing poems and drawing. He also plays cricket and football. He has won many prizes in various competitions conducted by the school at district levels in quiz, oratorical, elocution etc. His main hobby is reading and computer programming. His aim is to become a software engineer. Perhaps there is a Bill Gates in the making!

SANDEEP - AN UP-COMING ORATOR

Sandeep is the only son of a single parent. He also has a younger sister. To educate him his mother enrolled him in the Janaka Janani AIM for Seva chatralaya in Trivandrum, Kerala. Because of his good voice modulation, he has won many prizes in many recitation competitions at the district level in both Sanskrit & Malayalam. He is also very good in studies. Sandeep enjoys playing cricket, drawing & painting.
