Taking forward an ancient language

Way back in 2006, Govind Kumar Mehra joined the Smt. Krishna Rani Papneja AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys in Kareli, Madhya Pradesh as a young boy full of aspirations. He stayed in the Chatralayam till his 12th standard and passed out in 2014. Thereafter, we encouraged him to continue his Bachelors in Sanskrit from Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Viswa Maha Vidyalaya University in Tamil Nadu.

Along with him was also Ashish Ladiya from the same Chatralayam.

Both of them have come out with flying colours. Govind secured a gold medal while Ashish bagged a silver in their undergraduate programme. They are both continuing their passion for Sanskrit through the MA course from the same college. Sometime back, Govind also won the first prize in General Knowledge in a quiz competition organised by the Sanskrit Department of the University and the Indian Bank. He was one among the 25 students who appeared for a written test and got selected for the final round along with 6 other students.
