AIM for Seva is a pan Indian movement of caring. We touch the lives of the differently abled and seniors through various projects.
* Krupa Home—Started in 2010 by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati; Krupa Home located in Maduvankarai in Sriperumbudur, 40 kms from Chennai is a residential facility that caters to adults with various developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy and schizophrenia.
The differently abled face various pressures. The biggest worry of parents of such individuals is who would look after them after the demise of the mother and father. So, in order to help both, parents and adults, Krupa was launched. The objective was to provide each differently abled, dedicated adult end-of-life care support as many parents of such grown-up persons are unable to take care of them at home. At Krupa Home, we have qualified caretakers who extend assistance so that our residents can maximise their skills and abilities.
Adult men aged between 18 and 65 years, reside at Krupa Home and they are engaged in meaningful activities throughout the day as part of occupational therapy efforts. This includes handloom cloth weaving, paper craft and packing for local industries. Such activities enable them to take first steps towards self reliance.
* AIM for Seva Shanmuga Society— Day Care for Mentally Challenged Children– Started in 2002 with the blessings of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, the 1,100 sq ft AIM for Seva Shanmuga Society is located in Hyderabad. The centre conducts special education classes, speech therapy and regular counselling session for 20 students.
* AIM for Seva Vrudhashram— A home for senior citizens, AIM for SEVA Vrudhashram, was set up in 2006 in Pedapadu, Andhra Pradesh. Changing social norms and patterns have resulted in many elderly people having to live a lonely life or worse, they are forced to live a life of neglect and humiliation. Besides providing them with food, shelter and healthcare, the AIM for Seva Vrudhashram also gives an opportunity for such seniors to connect with people of a similar age group and live the rest of their life with dignity.
