Success story from west India

This month, we are happy to share another success story from our Chatralayam. Balaji Uddav Pandhare, joined the Swami Dayananda AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys, Maval, Maharashtra when he was in Class 8. His widowed mother had to support him and his younger brother by working on her meagre one-acre plot of land in a drought prone region.

Life was hard, and Balaji found little time for his studies after working in the field. His mother came to know about AIM for Seva’s Chatralayam through relatives, and decided to send him there.

Balaji initially found it hard to adapt to the routine at the Chatralayam but soon adapted and began to appreciate the guidance he received for his studies. His grades picked up and he soon found it easier to cope with schoolwork. He learnt to play the mridangam, and improved his skill in cricket.

After completing his schooling, he joined the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science in Manjakkudi to pursue his undergraduate degree in B.Com. He has just completed his degree and is hoping to find a good job in the banking sector. He looks forward to supporting his family and to contributing to society in the best way he can.
