We are proud to share the achievement of two of our Chatralayam students – G. Bharatbhai Parmar and G. Khant Vinodbhai, from Gujarat. Both boys are pursuing their diploma in mechanical engineering at the Government Polytechnic in Godhra, Gujarat.
The boys won the first prize for their project on ‘Investigations on low cost desalinator’ at ‘Aavishkar’, a technical event held in their polytechnic. The competition saw participation of 120 students.
G. Bharatbhai Parmar and G. Khant Vinodbhai live and study in the Mayur Patel AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys in Kankanpur village, Godhra taluk, Gujarat. They came to the Chatralayam in 2009, when they were both in 6th standard and have been living and studying here since. This hostel is home to 74 boys.
Recently, a team project by students from the Swami Dayananda College of Arts and Science, Manjakkudi titled ‘Application of molecular modeling in clinical trials’ made it to the finals of National Anvesham 2019 which was held at Ganpath University, Mehsana, Gujarat from 13th to 14th March, 2019.
This convention saw participation of 75 teams of which 25 were selected for sponsorship. Our college’s project was placed 17th in the sponsorship list and won participation in the overall category.
The team comprised B. Gayathri, 2nd year B.Sc. Chemistry, E. Ajitha, 1st year B.Sc. Chemistry and S. Gnana Jaisrie, 2nd year B.Sc. Physics.
