Gopal Singh Seth is both a doer as a well as a donor to AIM for Seva. Seth who runs a kirana store in Utnoor in Adilabad district, Telengana has been supporting 11 students from the Swami Dayananda AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys located in the same region.
The financial support extended by Seth includes tuition and bus fees for the 11 students who are currently studying at Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir, an English medium school located in close vicinity to our Chatralayam.
By Seth’s own admission, he comes from a family that prides in social service. “The concept of doing Seva was prevalent from my father’s time and I was ingrained into it from early on.” The service motto got further reinforced when he got to meet the founder of AIM for Seva, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati in 2005 when Swamiji visited the region.
There are many ways of giving and Seth is giving both monetary assistance as well as his time to the Utnoor Chatralayam. He makes it a point to visit the hostel twice a week (Sundays and Thursdays) and this helps keep him abreast of the latest developments in the premises. And like many other donors, Seth also celebrates the birthdays of his family in the Utnoor Chatralayam by sponsoring and sharing meals with 60 boys residing in the campus.
“I experience sheer bliss when I do such Seva,” he concludes.
