AIM for Seva’s 88 th Student Home inaugurated in Dharmapuri

Date: 25 Dec. 2011 Dharmapuri: Swami Dayananda Saraswati inaugurated AIM for Seva’s 88th Student Home, in the presence of  Sri. K. P. Anbhzhgan, MLA and other dignitaries.
The new Student Home for boys located at Karagur village, Dharmapuri district, can accommodate upto 50 boys . It caters to the underprivileged children living in the surrounding areas of Dharmapuri diostrict.15 boys have been already been admitted  in the Student Home and will attend a nearby Government H. S. School, Tirumalvadi. They will benefit from the care and support at AIM for Seva which includes safe shelter, nutritious meals, regular school and after school academic tuitions.
The land for the home was donated by Smt. Vimala Ram Mohan Pai and the building by Smt. & Sri. Ram Kini, in memory of his mother Smt. Sumithra. They also donated 2 computers to the Student Home.
Dharmapuri district is already home to the vibrant AIM for Seva Emirates Student Home for girls since 2007,  which supports 49 students. In addition, AIM for Seva  manages a Computer Literacy centre and a Tailoring unit for vocational training for the local women. The boys home will complement the work already being dome in this district.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Yadatmananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Salem, said  “Education is the solution for all problems . The setting up of the Boys Student home will give these children a better chance of staying in the formal education stream while exposing them to good values and habits in a nurturing environment.”
The local community has always been of great support. On this occasion too they reiterated their commitment  to the deserving cause of education.
Sri. Ramesh Bulchandani & Sri. Chandru Mehta of The Bengaluru Rotary Mid Town , donated 25 Solar Lamps for the Chatralaya and have also promised to distribute  solar lamps to all the Student Homes of AIM for Seva.

Alumini students of Salem Engineering college, 84 – 88 batch, Sri. Badrinathan,Sri.Raju, Sri.Vijaya Ramachandran and Sri. G. K. Kannan  donated Rs. 2 lacs  and pledged to give continued support .
Sri .Karunakaran, Chairman, Palacode Taluk, Panchayat President, Sri Venkatesan and a well wisher Dr.Saravanan were the other dignitaries who graced the inaugural function.
All the donors were honoured by Swami Dayananda Saraswati .

The grand celebrations culminated in a colorful variety entertainment staged by the students of the Dharmapuri girls Student Home.
Brni. Viswa Chaitanya, Coordinator , Emirates AIM for Seva Student Home, Dharmapuri thanked all the dignitaries for their presence and generous donations.
