It has been a busy last quarter at the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi. We are happy to share that a proposal presented by three of our students at the zonal level has been selected for the national level under the basic science category.
B. Gayathri (2nd year B.Sc. Chemistry), E. Ajitha (2nd year, B.Sc. Chemistry) and Gnana Jaisrie (2nd year Physics) participated in the south zone student research convention held at Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on February 22nd and 23rd.
Their proposal titled ‘Application of Molecular modeling in clinical trails’ has made it to the all India level and the national competition convention will be held on 12th and 13th March at Gujarat.
The students from the college continue to keep the flag of the institution flying high. B. Varsha (2nd year, BBA) recently participated in the National Youth Parliament festival held at the Directorate of National Service Scheme, Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on February 27th. The prizes to all winners were given by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Sri. Narendra Modi and the programme was telecast the same day on DD National.
S. Pravesh (3rd year, III B.Com, Bank Management) participated in the National Integration Camp held from March 6th to March 12th March, 2019 organised by NSS (National Service Scheme), Bharathidasan University, Trichy.
The computer science department of the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science recently organised a one day intra college symposium ‘Daya Fest 2019’. The main highlights were paper presentations, quiz and ad-zap. Sri. J. Udayakumar, founder CEO Genesis Academy, Pondicherry gave a lecture on ‘current trends in computer Technology’ to our students.
