Shifting from the monotony of regular books and school schedule, summer camps are a great way to trigger a learning mind. The three-day camp at Bhavani Arun AIM for Seva Chatralayam in Chinnasalem, Tamil Nadu saw students coming in from S. Viswanathan Memorial AIM for Seva Chatralayam for Boys in Sriperumbudur and AIM for Seva Kuppusamy Chatralayam for Boys in Polur. The camp included talks on Indian cultural values and ethos, importance of fitness and yoga, environment and sustainable development.
In Andhra Pradesh as well, 45 children from the AIM for Seva Chatralayams in Nandyal, Pedapadu and Repalle enjoyed a 9 day camp held in the hostel where teachers, doctors and personality development coaches conducted interactive sessions for the children. Children were engaged using story telling techniques and lec-dems. At the end of the camp, they had a better idea of time management, environmental preservation, effective communication and positive thinking and wished to implement lessons learnt effectively in their lives.
