AIM for Seva participated in the TCS World10k Run on May 19th, 2019. Himalaya Drug Company and Anthem Biosciences came on board to support us.
In his message, President of Himalaya, Philipe Haydon said that Himalaya believes in bringing wellness to every home and happiness to every heart. “We touch the lives of millions of people, not only with our products but also through initiatives focused at creating a better tomorrow. It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with this cause. We hope that this little step goes a long way in creating a brighter future for children in rural India.”
We were able to raise Rs 3 lakh through this run with Himalaya giving Rs 1.5 lakh and Anthem giving another Rs 1.5 lakh to our cause of educating rural India.
The funds raised through the TCS World 10k Run will be channelled towards setting up of Chatralayam (free student hostels) in rural areas. Our Chatralayam are secure residential facilities that provide students the opportunity to attend school without interruptions – and at no cost.
Students stay in the Chatralayam, attend the nearby school, and benefit from a holistic system that offers education, nutrition, and all-round development. We have 97 such Chatralayam across 16 states in India.
Twelve employees of Anthem Biosciences Private Limited, a contract research organisation, participated at the 11 edition of the ‘Tata Consultancy Services Run’ to support AIM for Seva on May 27 2018. They raised Rs. 1.5 lakh.
