We are happy to announce that 14 students who are currently pursuing B.Com and B.Com, Bank Management at the Swami Dayananda College of Arts & Science, Manjakkudi have been selected by City Union Bank during campus recruitment.
The Kumbakonam headquartered bank conducted a campus recruitment on April 11 and 12. The eligibility criteria was final year students of B.Com, B.Com (Bank Management), BBA and M.Com. The process comprised descriptive and online tests and interviews that saw 67 students participating in the process.
A 5 member team from CUB conducted the interview. The topics for the descriptive test included the role of banking in promoting rural development and cashless transactions. The online test comprised quantitative aptitude, reasoning, test of English language and general knowledge. The technical interview was held for all the 67 candidates.
The scores obtained by the students in the online, descriptive tests and interviews were consolidated and finally 14 students were selected. During the training period (six months), the students will be paid Rs 17,000 per month and during the probationary period post training (one year), they would be drawing Rs 23,669 per month.
City Union Bank began its operations more than 100 years back in 1904 in Kumbakonam. In the beginning, City Union Bank preferred the role of a regional bank and soon built for itself a place in the delta district Thanjavur. City Union Bank is now a prominent private bank in India.
