MS.SHEELA BALAJI, Chairperson and Managing Trustee

As Chairperson and Managing Trustee of AIM for Seva and Swami Dayananda Educational Trust (SDET), Smt. Sheela Balaji has directed her efforts towards grassroots level societal transformation through education. Inspired by her guru Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, she is committed to creating opportunities for rural communities to learn, find employment and adopt sustainable living practices.

Over the past two decades, Smt. Balaji has been instrumental in setting up 129 projects across 17 states in India, in the spheres of education, healthcare and community development. Since the inception of these two organisations, her work has impacted over 20 million lives. 

 Currently, Smt. Balaji is promoting organic farming practices, farmer training programmes and has successfully revived and cultivated over 130 heritage rice varieties through the project, ‘Spirit of the Earth.’

R.KANNAN, Treasurer

R. Kannan is among the senior-most Directors of the Shriram Group, under whose leadership Shriram Chits has become a Rs. 3,000-crore institution and the leader in the chit funds industry. Under him, the chit marketing network has turned into a multi-product vendor, helping promote and distribute various products and services of the group as well as associate companies.


Priyamvada Balaji is currently a Whole Time Director in Lucas Indian Service (LIS) Ltd, Chennai, an auto parts distribution company and a part of the TVS group, with a network across the country of over 1500 dealers covering 650 towns and cities in India. She is also on the board of Lucas TVS Ltd.

Presently she is a member of Tamil Nadu State Council of Confederation of Indian Industry.
Prior to working with LIS, she was a Senior Director at Fitch Ratings India (now India Ratings) and responsible for Western Region corporate credit ratings and a part of the National Rating Committee with a team of 14 analysts reporting to her. She also has experience in international bond ratings. During her 8 years of experience in credit ratings, she has covered a wide range of sectors including autos, metals and mining and manufacturing. Prior to this, she has around 3 years of experience in commercial and investment banking.

She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad, in 2000, and has a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Stella Maris, Chennai, where she was an academic silver medallist.


Dr E.S. Krishnamoorthy is a senior consultant in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry. He had his fellowship training at the iconic Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London. He is currently President- International Neuropsychiatric Association and continues to serve in several academic leadership roles.

As physician-entrepreneur, Dr Krishnamoorthy is the founder President and Chief Executive Officer of two healthcare start-ups– NEUROKRISH — www.neurokrish.com and TRIMED–www.trimedtherapy.com , a pioneering integrative medical therapy concept, now an expanding chain of clinics.

Apart from actively practicing his medical specialties, Dr Krishnamoorthy offers consultation to academia and healthcare companies. In addition, he also writes extensively and is a coach and mentor to professionals across disciplines.


Arvind Balaji is the Joint Managing Director of Lucas-TVS Ltd. He is the also the Managing Director of India Nippon Electricals and is responsible for all strategic and key operational decisions of both the companies.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Lucas-TVS, Lucas Indian Service and Delphi-TVS Diesel Systems. Arvind Balaji has been in the group since 2004. Arvind Balaji is the Past President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and currently leads the Technology, Safety and Regulatory (TSR) Committee of ACMA.

Prior to joining Lucas-TVS, Arvind Balaji worked in the Investment Banking division of Bank of America covering the automotive sector and as a consultant at Oracle Corporation.

Arvind Balaji has an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania as well as Masters degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Standford University.


Ravee Malhotra was born in Lahore and moved to Chennai in 1948. He did his bachelor’s in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai.

Ravee Malhotra then joined his father’s business of distribution of NBC bearings that he continues to manage. He started Evolv Clothing co. In 1975 which is now managed by his son Atul. In 2001, Ravee Malhotra started Evoluzione for retailing of designer garments in 2001 which is now managed by his daughter-in-law, Tina.

He is a trustee of D.A.V. school trust, Punjab Association which manages Adarsh Vidyalaya schools and Anna Adarsh College. Ravee Malhotra is also part of the committee of our founder, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s school in Rishikesh.
