Chatralayas or student homes provide complete care to children from the lesser privileged families in the tribal and rural areas. AIM for Seva student homes are located near existing schools to make it convenient for students to attend. A child can stay at a student home and attend school regularly. Our experience has shown that compared to the national average drop out rate of around 60% in the remote regions, the drop out rate among our students is less than 10%.
A student home is usually located near an existing school to make it convenient for the students to attend.

- The dropout ratio is almost 6 out of 10
- Lack of proper roads
- Public transport is either unavailable or a rarity
- Children have to walk 7 to 8 Kms to reach their schools
